Tomorrowland x Ridley Organized the Ultimate Cycling Experience Through Belgian Cycling Heritage

This summer, the collaboration between Tomorrowland and Ridley reached new heights! At the end of July, a select group of People of Tomorrow from around the globe united in Belgium for the 'Global Journey' Cycling Experience. This adventure allowed riders to explore some of the most iconic places in Belgian cycling, in true style.

In January, together with Tomorrowland, we introduced our INVENIO line featuring two custom bikes: the Kanzo Fast and the Kanzo A. These bikes are designed to inspire the next generation to explore the world together, from the Tour of Flanders and Strade Bianche to daily gravel rides to work. Our motto, ‘every ride counts,’ reflects this spirit. Early in the summer, we expanded our range with the 'Capsule Collection,' which includes cycling apparel, a cycling cap, and a high-quality water bottle. Each item in this collection captures the bespoke design of the INVENIO collaboration, offering riders a unique style and expression.

Experience and exploration are core values for both Tomorrowland and Ridley. From July 22nd, we welcomed 20 ‘Tomorrowland Global Journey’ participants for a sold-out cycling experience leading up to WE 2 of Tomorrowland. Participants hailed from places like the United States, Mexico, Austria, Guatemala, and New Zealand, demonstrating the global appeal of Belgian festival and cycling culture.

The journey began at Villa Licata with a private dinner hosted by Licata Vini and a private chef, the perfect setting to unveil the bikes. Throughout the Cycling Experience, top-level hospitality was paramount, from personal guidance to various food concepts and iconic hotels.

The first full day immersed riders in the world of top-level bike production. Personalized bikes, complete with riders' names on the frames, and bespoke cycling kits bundled in personalized washing bags, set the stage. A tour of our factory and wind tunnel showcased the state-of-the-art bike-building process. After getting their measurements taken and their INVENIO Kanzo Fast bikes fitted, the riders tested their new bikes on the Velodrome in Zolder.

Riding the Flemish Ardennes

On Wednesday morning, an unforgettable ride through the Flemish Ardennes was planned. The participants, who had admired images of classics like the Tour of Flanders all their lives, now had the chance to climb these hills themselves, accompanied by the one and only Zdenek Stybar as their captain! Soon we were bumping over the cobblestones of the Holleweg and the Haaghoek, followed by the Koppenberg, the Oude Kwaremont, and the Paterberg. The well-deserved pasta at the iconic Hotond Mill tasted all the better afterward! Later in the day, the cyclists also enjoyed a relaxing yoga session.
Even more cycling fun awaited on Thursday with a gravel ride through the Sonian Forest and the Meerdaal Forest. The route followed the course of the World Gravel Championship, which takes place in early October in the National Park Brabantse Wouden between Halle and Leuven. In lovely sunshine, the participants made the most of their INVENIO Kanzo Fast bikes and enjoyed a photo moment at the Royal Museum for Central Africa. Café Welkom relocated its cycling café from Noorderwijk to Duisburg especially for us, treating us to fries with stew and a fresh pint.

Camaraderie

The only proper way to round off this Belgian cycling journey was, of course, by experiencing another part of Belgian heritage—our beer culture. So, we arranged a special tour with AB InBev, the brewery behind beers like Jupiler, Stella Artois, and Tripel Karmeliet, among many others. Visiting their production facilities at the HQ in Leuven, having the pros teach our riders how to draft the perfect Stella, and finishing with a custom beer and cheese pairing was the perfect prelude to the festival part of their experience. From Thursday evening onwards, the guests enjoyed the Tomorrowland Full Madness Experience!

At the festival grounds, the friendships formed and the cycling didn’t end, of course. The riders challenged their legs one last time at the indoor Ridley cycling booth in the Experience Store at Tomorrowland. After this reunion, a few cool surprises awaited them, including exclusive access to some on-site events—wow!

With full hearts, tired legs, and memories to last a lifetime, we said goodbye to the participants at the end of the festival. It was clear that this unique immersion made the long journey more than worthwhile! Our collaboration with Tomorrowland will continue for at least another two years, so be sure to follow our channels to see what we have in store for the coming years—and take part in next year’s cycling experience if you get the chance!
