Triathletes Jelle Geens and Louis Naeyaert shine with bronze medals

It was a fruitful weekend for our triathletes! Jelle Geens won a handsome bronze at the European 70.3 Ironman Championships in Tallinn, while Louis Naeyaert climbed the third podium step at the World Long Distance Triathlon Championships. Both triathletes used our acclaimed Dean Fast during the cycling leg.

For Jelle Geens, this European Championships was an ideal opportunity to flush out the Olympics. After all, the triathlon there became a setback due to illness. For the Mixed Team Relay, the Belgian Hammers even had to forfeit because of a sick colleague. In Estonia, he competed in the half Ironman. That means 1,900 metres of swimming, 90 kilometres of cycling and a half marathon run.
The Limburger came sixth out of the water and was able to position himself in an attractive group during the cycling trial. He then hit his stride during the running leg. Geens eventually finished third, just over three minutes from the winner.

Success in Australia

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Naeyaert also achieved a nice podium finish. In Australian Townsville, the West Fleming took part in the longest triathlon he has ever done. After 3,000 metres of swimming, he was already more than two minutes behind the leading group, but he was able to approach during the cycling (114 kilometres) before running to bronze during the running test (30 kilometres).

Dean Fast

No room for compromise!

The Dean Fast is the fastest bike in our entire range. This time trial bike is a no-compromise model, developed in the Bike Valley wind tunnel, adjacent to our factory. The Dean Fast pushes the limits of UCI regulations and features an F-Surface Plus on the frame, allowing you to slice through the wind. A removable front derailleur hanger means that riders who choose a 1x setup get the most streamlined look possible when using the custom cover that replaces the hanger.
