Søren Wærenskjold wins Omloop Het Nieuwsblad after a phenomenal power sprint.

The Flemish spring classics have well and truly begun and Uno-X Mobilty immediately hit the jackpot. After a thrilling race, Søren Wærenskjold won Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with a phenomenal sprint. The greatest victory in the history of the Scandinavian formation!

After wanderings through Australia, the Emirates and southern Europe, it was time for the real deal last Saturday. With Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Ghent's Kuipke was the real start of the cycling season with the first WorldTour race on European soil. All the big names were there and many a cycling fan was ready for another season full of cycling spectacle.

Uno-X Mobility was also ready for it, although the race did not start completely ideally. Markus Hoelgaard, initially intended as the leader for the Omloop, fell ill after Ruta Del Sol and was replaced by Søren Wærenskjold. The battle plan was clear for the Norwegians. Jonas Abrahamsen was the man to go into the attacks if the race opened up and Rasmus Tiller and Søren Wærenskjold were allowed to follow the first groups and wait for a possible sprint.

At 11:15 the starting gun sounded in Ghent and via detours over the Haaghoek, Leberg, Eikenberg, Molenberg, Berendries, Muur van Geraardsbergen and Bosberg we rode towards the Elisabethlaan in Ninove. The race exploded on the cobbles of the Molenberg and Alpecin-Deceuninck took firm control of the race, with leader Philipsen at the front of the race. Several teams had missed the battle, including Wout van Aert's Visma-Lease a Bike and also Uno-X Mobility. However, the gap remained limited and several riders were able to return to the front of the race.
On the Muur van Geraardsbergen and Bosberg we saw a very strong Jonas Abrahamsen in which he was eagerly at the front. It was also Abrahamsen who helped defuse a late attack by Küng for the now rejoined Wærenskjold.

On the slightly ascending Elisabethlaan, we prepared for a sprint between the big guns. At 200 metres from the finish, Wærenskjold and Philipsen attacked simultaneously but Søren managed to catch it authoritatively. In the end, Paul Magnier finished second with a late jump.

Wærenskjold could not believe it at first and waited to celebrate until he received official confirmation from the team car. With Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Uno-X Mobility wins a first major WorldTour classic in its history. It clearly shows what strides the entire organisation behind the team has made again this winter.

7th win of the season

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was not Uno-X Mobility's first victory in this still early cycling season. For the men's formation, Magnus Cort Nielsen managed to take three more wins at O Gran Camiño in Spain last weekend. Alexander Kristoff already has a victory up his sleeve as well. In the third stage of Ruta Del Sol, he took the 97th win of his career. Wærenskjold was also celebrating with a win in the Ster van Bessèges.

Uno-X Mobility's women's team was also already successful. Linda Zanetti was able to put the Vuelta CV Feminas behind her name. In addition, the team has also already grabbed podium places in Tour Down Under, Clasica Almeria and Omloop van het Hageland.

Noah Fast

The fastest bike we’ve ever built

In 2025, aerodynamics is everything! Ridley’s product developers started with a blank slate for the third generation of the Noah Fast. The result is a 100% aero bike. At a speed of 50 kilometers per hour, the Noah Fast is 8.5 watts faster than its predecessor. This underscores that aerodynamics are rooted in Ridley’s DNA.
